Sample Episode Plotting Post
Sample Episode Plotting Post
Tentative Episode Title:
Episode Synopsis: A brief spoiler-free paragraph detailing what's going to happen. Sort of like the blurb one would read on the back of a book.
Starring: The characters that will definitely be involved.
Wanted: Characters needed (either specifically or with special talents/traits), requests for ideas, anything you need from fellow community members.
Special Notes: Anything extra. This is a good place to say how you want the episode to go. Will everything be planned in advance, or will the characters be surprised at what takes place and left to figure things out at the discretion of the players?
Content/Rating: Is there any content that may need a warning? What rating would you estimate the episode to be? (G, PG, PG-13, R)
(Put a "Spoilers" cut here, if applicable. You can choose to use the 'cut' option, or provide the following in white font so people have to highlight the details in order to read them. Spoilers are optional depending on how much knowledge you want the other players to have prior to participation.)
Primary Threat: The root of the problem that must be solved. Is it a ghost? A troublesome lawyer? An ancient curse?
Plot Details: Any information about how the plot goes, including how the primary threat can/should be handled.
Lasting Changes: Most episodes are meant to be self-contained. However, if something particularly important takes place that could impact other episodes, put it here. This is crucial if it directly involves someone else's character. For example, if your character is going to get hit with permanent amnesia and lose all knowledge of prior CR, run that past everyone else since they may not want to deal with the loss of that CR.
